The 1000-MW hydroelectric and 2000-MW solar power projects will attract an investment of Rs 20000 crore to Odisha and also give a boost to the state's push for renewable energy.

Pune Municipal Corporation has roped in a private firm TheGreenBillions Ltd (TGBL), who will set up this plant with an investment of Rs 350 crore in setting up the plant. The company will spend an additional Rs 82 crore to construct the storage facility and logistics support.  The sustainability solutions provider TGBL has entered into a 30-year-long agreement with PMC. 

The Ministry of Coal announced on Monday that it will take up additional 19 first mile connectivity (FMC) projects near coal mines for Coal India Ltd and Singareni Collieries Company with a capacity of 330 million tonnes (MT), which will be implemented by FY26-27.

Amit Kalyani, Deputy Managing Director of Bharat Forge, told CNBC-TV18 that Kalyani Group company Saarloha will probably produce 15-25 percent of the country's green steel in the first year. The steel produced with renewable energy will be more expensive than conventional steel, to begin with.
