04:46 AM EDT, 10/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico (PAC) reported late Tuesday that Hurricane Melissa, a Category 5 storm, has led to the suspension of operations at two airports in Jamaica.
Operations at Kingston Airport were suspended on Oct. 25 at 9 pm and at Montego Bay Airport on Oct. 26 at noon.
"All efforts are focused on resuming operations at both airports as soon as possible," the company said.
The airports in Jamaica accounted for 11% of the company's total passenger traffic and 8.8% of its consolidated earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization during the first nine months of this year, it said.
