BUENOS AIRES, June 11 (Reuters) - Grupo Mexico Transportes
USA (GMXT) has reached a strategic agreement with the U.S.
railway technology provider Wabtec to participate in the bidding
process for the Argentine firm Belgrano Cargas y Logistica
(BCYL), a source familiar with the matter told Reuters on
Thursday.
Argentina in the coming days plans to publish the tender
documents for the privatization of BCYL, which operates the
country's three largest freight train lines. The company is
aiming to renew its aging rail network to improve logistics for
the agricultural, mining, and energy sectors.
