Grupo Mexico's second quarter net profit rises 79%

MEXICO CITY, July 21 (Reuters) - Mining and transportation

conglomerate Grupo Mexico reported on Tuesday a

second-quarter net profit up nearly 79% compared to the same

period a year earlier, coming in at $2.20 billion.

Revenue for the group, a top copper producer, increased 35%

to $5.71 billion in the quarter, according to a filing.
