08:45 AM EDT, 07/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- GSK (GSK) said Thursday that it has started shipping doses of its trivalent influenza vaccines Flulaval and Fluarix to US healthcare providers and pharmacies ahead of this winter's flu season.

The company said the move immediately follows the US Food and Drug Administration's licensing and lot-release approval.

GSK said it expects to distribute more than 36 million doses of its flu vaccines in the US this season and that both Flulaval and Fluarix, which are indicated for people age six months and older, will be available in a 0.5mL, single-dose, pre-filled syringe.
