05:47 PM EDT, 07/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) said late Thursday that Gulf Air, a Bahrain-based airline, plans to purchase 12 Dreamliner aircraft, with options for six more 787s. The financial terms were not disclosed.
The order will bring Gulf Air's firm order book to 14 widebody jets and will support 30,000 jobs across the US, according to a statement.
The agreement to purchase the aircraft was signed in Washington, D.C., with Bahrain's Minister of Finance Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick joining Boeing ( BA ) and Gulf Air executives, Boeing ( BA ) said.
