Gulf Island Fabrication Gets $7 Million Defense Logistics Task Order

05:39 PM EDT, 09/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Gulf Island Fabrication ( GIFI ) said late Tuesday its Englobal government services unit has received a task order from the US Defense Logistics Agency for the installation and upgrade of an automated fuel handling system at the Fleet Logistics Center in Yokosuka, Japan.

The fixed-price award, valued at more than $7 million, will be added to Gulf Island's Q3 backlog, with work starting in September and finishing in Q1 of 2028.

The order is part of a broader indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract that allows the agency to issue task orders for similar fuel system upgrades at facilities worldwide through September 2029, the company said.

Shares of Gulf Island Fabrication ( GIFI ) were up more than 3% in after-hours activity.
