Halliburton Confirms System Breach

07:19 AM EDT, 08/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Halliburton ( HAL ) confirmed Friday in a regulatory filing that an unauthorized third party had gained access to certain of its systems.

The company said it became aware of the breach on Wednesday and in response it launched an internal investigation and also took certain systems offline to protect them.

The oilfield services company said that it is working to identify any effects of the incident.
