Hapag-Lloyd: will take 3-4 weeks to clear backlog after US strikes

GDANSK, Oct 4 (Reuters) - German shipping group

Hapag-Lloyd ( HLAGF ) said on Friday it will take three to four

weeks to clear the vessel backlog in U.S. ports affected by the

dockworkers' strike.

"We believe it will take several weeks, best guess is three

to four weeks," a spokesperson for the world's fifth biggest

shipping company told Reuters.
