ATHENS, June 27 (Reuters) - Greece's biggest oil refiner
Helleniq Energy said on Thursday it would decide on
exploratory drilling in Greek offshore blocks within the coming
12-18 months.
Greece has pushed ahead with collecting seismic data via
survey vessels in several areas that potentially carry
significant gas reserves.
Helleniq holds licences to explore for oil and gas in four
blocks in the Ionian Sea and in two blocks as part of an Exxon
Mobil ( XOM )-led consortium off the island of Crete.
In a presentation to shareholders, the company said it has
been evaluating data from seismic surveys there.
