Helmerich & Payne to Reactivate Seven Rigs in Saudi Arabia by Mid-2026

04:20 PM EST, 11/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Helmerich & Payne (HP) received notice to restart seven suspended land rigs in Saudi Arabia with reactivations scheduled in phases through H1 2026.

Days accrued during each rig's suspension will be added to the remaining contract, the company said Monday in a statement.

Helmerich & Payne expects to operate 24 rigs in the country by mid-2026, including units acquired through its KCA Deutag acquisition.

Helmerich & Payne shares rose 1.6% in after-hours trading.
