01:49 PM EST, 02/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Hemostemix ( HMTXF ) on Monday said it continues to expand as it brings its ACP-01 treatment back to the Dominican Republic.

Hemostemix ( HMTXF ) shared an update, via social media, on its latest initiative in the Dominican Republic, with a team of cardiologists who have the capacity to treat 110 patients per month. The company said the team of cardiologists, previously treated 200 ACP-01 recipients, and at US$37,000 per ACP unit, the team has the capacity to treat five times the number of patients currently forecasted to be treated.

This team's ACP-01 treatment, published in Stem Cell Research and Therapy, "demonstrated remarkable results, boosting ejection fraction percent by up to 47.1% in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy and by up to 27% in those with ischemic cardiomyopathy, for patients with an ejection fraction of 20% or less," said Hemostemix ( HMTXF ) Chief Executive Thomas Smeenk. "That is like getting a new lease on life. These patients express how they are feeling better, have more energy, have a greater capacity to exercise, and experience an overall improvement in their quality of life."

Shares of the company were last seen down $0.01, or 3.2%, at $0.30 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
