Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present her maiden budget in the parliament on July 5.

CNBC-TV18's Surabhi Upadhyay is in conversation with Girish Vanvari of Transaction Square and Sudhir Kapadia of Ernst & Young, about the expectations of the capital markets.

Vanvari said, "From foreign portfolio investment (FPI) perspective, the non-convertible debentures (NCDs) issue is one issue which is quite pending. Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT) is a good initiative but has not taken off yet. Possibility of having more GIFT City is a very important point and that can encourage more people to investments in India.”
