Here’s why restaurants in Gurugram remain shut despite easing of COVID-19 lockdown
Jun 9, 2020 12:18 PM

Local authorities in the National Capital Region (NCR) have allowed restaurants and malls to open with strict sanitization and social distancing conditions in place. However, the establishments have registered a tepid response from consumers. CNBC-TV18’s Rituparna Bhuyan visited Cyber Hub in Gurugram, a popular fine dining destination in the NCR, but found its shutters down.

Speaking to CNBC-TV18, Inderjeet Singh Banga, head of the Gurugram chapter of the National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) said that restaurant business has been turned upside down due to COVID-19.

Banga added that they would be forced to shut down restaurants if no viable solution is found in the coming days.
