04:54 PM EDT, 03/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Hertz Global Holdings ( HTZ ) said late Friday it has appointed Gil West as chief executive, starting April 1.

West will succeed Stephen Scherr, who has chosen to resign from his position as CEO and board member on March 31.

West previously served as chief operating officer of Delta Airlines and General Motors' ( GM ) Cruise unit, the company said.
