Hess Midstream Makes Changes to Board, Executive Leadership Following Hess, Chevron Merger Completion

10:09 AM EDT, 07/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Hess Midstream ( HESM ) said Friday it is making changes to its board and executive leadership following the completion of the merger between Hess Corp. ( HES ) and Chevron ( CVX ) , which now owns Hess 37.8% stake in Hess Midstream ( HESM ).

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer John B. Hess, Chief Operating Officer Gregory P. Hill, and Chief Financial Officer John P. Rielly are leaving the Hess Midstream ( HESM ) board, the company said.

Chevron's ( CVX ) Andy Walz has been appointed as Chairman of the Board, joined by Chevron ( CVX ) executives Kristen Ghattas and Kristi McCarthym, it added.

Chief Financial Officer Jonathan C. Stein has been promoted to chief executive officer, succeeding John B. Hess, according to the company.

Michael J. Chadwick, who previously served as Vice President and Controller at the company, has been promoted to CFO, Hess Midstream ( HESM ) said.
