05:08 PM EDT, 04/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Hexcel ( HXL ) said Tuesday that its board has appointed Thomas C. Gentile III as chief executive and president, starting May 1.

Gentile will succeed Nick Stanage, who will become executive chair of the board until his retirement on Dec. 31, the company said.

Gentile previously served as president and CEO of Spirit AeroSystems ( SPR ) from 2016 to 2023, Hexcel ( HXL ) said.

Hexcel ( HXL ) reaffirmed its full-year 2024 guidance for adjusted earnings of $2.10 to $2.30 per share on sales of $1.93 billion to $2.03 billion. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect adjusted EPS of $2.25 and sales of $1.99 billion.

Hexcel ( HXL ) said it also continues to expect a compounded annual growth rate of more than 25% in adjusted EPS and 10% to 12% in sales for 2024 through 2026.
