High Flood Scores Seen For Municipal Bond Offerings This Week
Nov 24, 2025 6:16 AM

08:54 AM EST, 11/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Multiple municipal bond offerings this week have a high exposure to climate risk, specifically high Flood Scores, according to ICE Climate Data.

A $5 million offering from Marion, Mass., records a Flood Score of 4.8 out of 5.0, ICE reports. Locations with a component Physical Climate Risk Score, which includes Flood, Wildfire and Hurricane, of 3.0 or higher out of 5.0 indicate high physical climate risk due to hurricane, flooding or wildfire events.

A $13 million bond deal from South River, N.J., has a Flood Score of 4.7 out of 5.0 on ICE's scale, while a $6 million tranche from Norwalk City Secon Taxing District, Conn., records a Flood Score of 4.0.

Separately, a $5 million offering from Harris-Fort Bend Counties MUD No. 3, Texas, records a total Climate Risk Score of 3.8, due to its proximity to weather-related events, according to ICE Climate Data.
