No 5 | Tencent Video | With a profit of $300 million in 2020, the video streaming website owned by Chinese tech giant Tencent has emerged fifth on the list. Launched in 2018, the mandarin language app has close to 90 crore daily active users.

No 4 | Disney+ | Total profits of The Walt Disney Company-owned subscription-based video-on-demand over-the-top streaming service for 2020 stood at $314 million.

No 3 | YouTube | YouTube was third on the list as it raked in a $478 million last year.

No 2 | Tinder | The American online dating app is popular among those seeking romance online. The app grossed $513 million last year.

No 1 | TikTok | The Chinese short-video app emerged as the highest-grossing app globally in 2020 with $540 million in profit despite a ban in India and continuing legal tussles in the US.
