07:53 AM EDT, 05/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- HighPeak Energy ( HPK ) said Thursday it has completed and commissioned the new 9.9 megawatt WildHorse solar farm on its Flat Top operating area in west Texas.

The independent oil and natural gas company said the facility, owned by Priority Power Management, will produce enough electricity to power nearly 3,700 homes.

HighPeak said the project allowed it to add green energy to its portfolio without any capital costs to shareholders, enabling it to minimize greenhouse gas emissions and cut the cost of powering its operations.
