04:31 PM EDT, 09/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Honda Motor ( HMC ) is partnering with the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi and Bombay to advance its Honda Cooperative Intelligence technology that facilitates mutual comprehension between humans and machines, the automaker said Wednesday.

The firm has recently been demonstrating a prototype of its micro-mobility robotic vehicle in Joso, Japan. Honda ( HMC ) said it aims to focus on future uses of technologies that decrease traffic accidents and support automated vehicles.

Honda ( HMC ) team members and the institutes' faculty members will collaborate on projects involving the planning, designing, developing, and testing of technologies, according to the company.

Furthermore, as part of this collaborative research effort, Honda ( HMC ) plans to carry out the verification of driving assistance and automated driving technologies in the outskirts of Delhi and Mumbai.
