02:50 PM EDT, 06/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Honda Motor ( HMC ) said Wednesday it started production of 2025 Honda CR-V e:FCEV fuel cell electric vehicle at its performance manufacturing center in Ohio.

This is the only fuel cell electric vehicle made in the US, according to the company.

The fuel cell system powering the vehicle is also manufactured in the US by Honda ( HMC ) and General Motors' ( GM ) joint venture Fuel Cell System Manufacturing, Honda ( HMC ) added.

Shares of the company were down more than 1% in recent trading.
