12:48 PM EST, 01/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Honda Motor ( HMC ) said Thursday its global production fell to 272,530 vehicles in December 2024 from 348,675 units a year earlier.

The automaker said that year-over-year output in Japan dropped to 56,313 units from 69,261 units and overseas production slid to 216,217 units from 279,414 units.

Sales in Japan fell year over year for the third straight month to 45,824 units from 53,963 units, while exports from Japan dropped to 10,138 units from 11,599 units, the company said.
