02:02 PM EST, 02/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Honda Motor ( HMC ) reported Thursday its global production of 269,168 vehicles in January, down from 337,119 units a year earlier.

Year-over-year output in Japan declined to 44,857 units from 56,469 units and overseas production dropped to 224,311 units from 280,650 units.

Sales in Japan slid year over year for the fourth straight month, to 50,335 units from 53,402 units, while exports from Japan increased to 8,784 units from 6,789 units, the company said.
