11:05 AM EST, 12/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Honda Motor Co ( HMC ) said Tuesday it is continuing to refine its 2-motor hybrid system, Honda ( HMC ) e:HEV, to achieve an annual hybrid vehicle sales target of 1.3 million units by 2030.

In order to achieve its annual sales target, the Japanese carmaker said that in its next-generation e:HEV system, component parts and control technology will be renewed for both the small-size system and the mid-size system to further enhance environmental performance and improve the driving experience.

The small-size system has a 1.5-liter engine while the mid-size system has a 2.0-liter engine.
