Honda Motor to Launch $1.93 Billion Share Buyback Program

08:17 AM EDT, 05/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Honda Motor Company ( HMC ) said Friday that it plans to launch a share buyback program worth as much as 300 billion Japanese yen ($1.93 billion).

The company said it will purchase up to 180 million shares, with the aim of improving the efficiency of its capital structure and implementing "a flexible capital strategy."

The program is slated to begin Monday and end on March 31, 2025.
