02:46 PM EDT, 03/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Honda Motor ( HMC ) said Thursday that it produced 294,710 vehicles worldwide in February, down from 340,574 units a year earlier.

This represents the first year-over-year decline in six months, the automaker said.

Honda ( HMC ) said that output in Japan fell to 51,010 units in February from 60,572 a year earlier, while overseas production decreased to 243,700 units from 280,002.

Sales in Japan increased to 57,147 units from 49,889, while exports from Japan climbed to 9,937 vehicles from 4,526, the company said.
