Honda Motor's May Global Production Falls

01:26 PM EDT, 06/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Honda Motor ( HMC ) said Thursday it produced 304,423 vehicles in May, down from 329,066 units a year earlier.

This represents the first year-over-year decrease in two months, the Japanese automaker said.

Honda ( HMC ) said that output in Japan rose to 51,125 units in May from 44,510 units a year earlier, while overseas production fell to 253,298 units from 284,556.

Sales in Japan increased to 48,524 units from 35,189, while exports from Japan dropped to 6,626 vehicles from 6,837 units, the company said.
