08:22 AM EDT, 06/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Honeywell International ( HON ) said Thursday it has agreed to acquire CAES Systems Holdings from private equity firm Advent International for about $1.9 billion in an all-cash deal expected to close in the second half of 2024.

The deal is expected to be accretive to Honeywell's ( HON ) adjusted earnings per share in the first full year of ownership, Honeywell ( HON ) said.

The company said the acquisition will improve its defense technologies, including new electromagnetic defense solutions for end-to-end radio frequency signal management.
