09:29 AM EDT, 06/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Honeywell International ( HON ) said Tuesday it is launching its Battery Manufacturing Excellence Platform, a software product to optimize gigafactories' operations.

The platform will cut cell manufacturing costs, shorten production ramp-up cycles, and decrease material waste by 60% at startup, the company said.

The product uses artificial intelligence-backed techniques during the manufacturing process to detect and address quality issues before they lead to scrapped material, Honeywell ( HON ) said.
