Honeywell Wins $103 Million US Army Contract for New Radar Altimeter

08:33 AM EDT, 10/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Honeywell International ( HON ) said Monday that it was awarded a $103 million contract by the US Army, through the Defense Logistics Agency, to provide its new APN-209 radar altimeter system on various army aircraft.

The new system, which will replace the legacy APN-209 that has been in use since 1975, will provide improved reliability and performance in challenging weather conditions, advanced common-core architecture to mitigate supply chain risks, and flexible integration options for enhanced operational readiness, according to Honeywell ( HON ).
