Horizon Technology Finance, Monroe Capital Shareholders Approve Merger

11:12 AM EDT, 03/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Horizon Technology Finance ( HRZN ) and Monroe Capital ( MRCC ) said Monday that shareholders of Horizon Technology Finance ( HRZN ) approved the issuance of common stock for the proposed merger between the two companies.

Monroe Capital's ( MRCC ) shareholders, too, approved the proposed merger as well as the company's sale of all its assets to Monroe Capital Income Plus at fair value for cash, the parties said.

Following the asset sale, Monroe Capital ( MRCC ) will merge into Horizon Technology Finance ( HRZN ), which will continue to be managed by Horizon Technology Finance Management and trade under the symbol "HRZN," the companies said.

The closing date of the merger will be announced at a later date, the companies said, adding that they expect the completion to occur within the next 30 days.
