01:19 PM EDT, 07/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- HPQ Silicon ( HPQFF ) was last seen up 10% after the company on Wednesday said it plans to launch a its first commercial lithium-ion batteries using third-generation silicon-based anode material under the HPQ Endura Brand.
The company said the batteries, developed with French partner Novacium, includes two formats; 18650 cells with 4,000mAh capacity and 21700 cells rated at 6,000mAh. Both have been subject to lab and pre-commercial production validation to deliver on energy density and a nearly 1,000 full charge-discharge cycle life.
The company said the markets for Endura includes sectors such as electric mobility, consumer electronics, telecoms, and defense.
"With this launch, HPQ moves from proving technological feasibility to commercial execution. The North American market is ready, and so are we." said Noelle Drapeau, the company's Intellectual Property Director.
The company's shares were last seen up $0.015 to $0.165 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
