12:20 PM EDT, 06/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- HPQ Silicon ( HPQFF ) , on Wednesday said Novacium, its French affiliate, released additional data from testing on silicon-based anode material.

The company said blend of graphite and advanced silicon anode material improves overall battery performance and can be seamlessly integrated into existing anode manufacturing facilities,

"These promising results have real-world applications," said Bernard Tourillon, chief executive of HPQ Silicon ( HPQFF ) in a statement. "To illustrate an example of its potential impact, the global cell phone battery market, which is perfectly suited for our anode material, is expected to reach US$38.8 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 6.4% between 2024 and 2031."

HPQ shares were last seen unchanged at $0.29 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
