Chief Executive Georges Elhedery split responsibilities of the group chief operating officer role between the new appointment and an expanded position of the chief information officer, according to the company.

HSBC ( HSBC ) said it appointed Suzy White as interim chief operating officer and Stuart Riley as chief information officer.
