Hudbay Minerals Hits Production Milestone at Lalor Mine in Manitoba
Jan 16, 2025 5:36 AM

08:18 AM EST, 01/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Hudbay Minerals ( HBM ) said Thursday that it surpassed one million ounces of gold produced at its Lalor mine in Manitoba during December.

The company said the production milestone reflects its exploration expertise, processing infrastructure and operating efficiency to maximize gold production at the mine.

"This milestone underscores Lalor's robust performance and is the result of strategic investments, continuous operational improvements and exploration success, along with the team's focus on building a long-term sustainable business," said Peter Kukielski, Hudbay's president and CEO. "Hudbay's long standing history in Manitoba and significant future exploration initiatives will continue to drive prosperity in the region and generate significant future cash flows for the business."

Hudbay said it expects gold production in Manitoba to exceed the top end of its 2024 gold production guidance range of 200,000 ounces.
