10:40 AM EDT, 04/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Hudbay Minerals ( HBM ) said Tuesday that its Manitoba business signed an agreement with the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation to jointly explore the indigenous community's traditional territories in Canada's Saskatchewan province.

The gold producer said that the agreement allows it to potentially boost future production and extend mine life at its Manitoba operations through additional exploration in the neighboring region of Saskatchewan.

Shares of Hudbay Minerals ( HBM ) were down 2.6% in Tuesday's trading.
