01:43 PM EST, 02/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Humacyte ( HUMA ) shares were up over 5% in recent Thursday trading after the company said it received a US patent covering "key aspects" of its bioreactor manufacturing system.

The company said its Symvess acellular tissue-engineered vessel, designed for arterial replacement and repair, is manufactured using the patented system.

The patent lasts until 2040, according to the company.
