12:03 PM EDT, 06/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Humana (HUM) said Monday it signed an in-network agreement with the University of Alabama at Birmingham Health System, broadening access to care for its Medicare Advantage members in Alabama.

The agreement, effective earlier this year, includes access to several UAB and UAB-affiliated facilities, including UAB Hospital, UAB Hospital-Highlands and UAB Medical West, among others, the company said.

Shares of Humana were up more than 1% in recent trading.
