10:49 AM EDT, 07/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Humana (HUM) said Thursday it agreed to a new multiyear deal with Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google Cloud to modernize the health-insurance company's cloud infrastructure and bolster artificial-intelligence capabilities.

The agreement extends collaboration between the companies to co-develop health products and bring Google's ( GOOG ) AI technology to Humana members and patients.

Humana said the companies are also working on new health-care products.

Financial terms of the agreement weren't disclosed.

Human shares rose 2% in recent Thursday trading, and Alphabet fell 0.6%.
