Hundreds of pilots and cabin crew of Jet Airways have complained of withdrawal of entire amount from their Axis Bank forex cards, several people part of the development told CNBC-TV18.
The airline used to provide forex cards to pilots and cabin crew as part of their daily allowance on overseas duty.
"Over 300 pilots and at least 1,000 cabin crew are affected by this. This is a scam. They are stealing our money," a Jet Airways pilot said.
The pilots and cabin crew have already complained to the chief executive officer of the airline Vinay Dube, who has "promised to look into the matter."
"We are getting hundreds of complaints. We are going to file an FIR tomorrow. This is unfair and illegal. Axis Bank is putting the blame on a third party. We don't know where to go," another pilot said.
While for some employees, the amount was debited in parts, for some the entire sum was debited in one go.
"We used to get this money in dollars to spend overseas. You could spend it anywhere outside other than India and Nepal. This was our money. They should settle their payments with the company. Why are they taking this money from us?" another affected employee said.
Jet Airways is yet to respond to CNBC-TV18'S query.
