Huntington Ingalls Industries Receives Order From Indo-Pacific Customer to Build Unmanned Underwater Vehicle

06:11 AM EDT, 03/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Huntington Ingalls Industries ( HII ) said Wednesday that it had received an order for a Remus 620 unmanned underwater vehicle from an unidentified customer in the Indo-Pacific region.

The value of the order was not disclosed.

The defense contractor and shipbuilder said the customized, medium-class Remus 620 UUV will be built and delivered this year.

The Remus 620 UUV is used for mine detection, oceanic surveys, intelligence collection, and electronic warfare, the company said.
