Hyatt to Acquire Playa Hotels & Resorts in $13.50 Per Share All-Cash Deal

07:26 AM EST, 02/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Playa Hotels & Resorts ( PLYA ) said Monday it agreed to be acquired by Hyatt Hotels ( H ) for $13.50 per share in cash.

The sale price represents a 40% premium to Playa's stock price, the company said.

The acquisition will combine Playa's beachfront luxury properties with Hyatt's global brand and operational expertise, according to a statement.
