Aug 20 (Reuters) - Hyatt Hotels ( H ) said on Tuesday
that it is acquiring Standard International, the parent company
of the Standard and Bunkhouse Hotels brands to create a new
lifestyle hospitality brand.
The company will purchase the boutique hotel operator's
brands and most of its affiliates for a base price of $150
million, with up to an additional $185 million as more
properties enter the portfolio.
Hyatt further expects stabilized fees of around $17 million
and additional fees of about $30 million.
Moelis & Company LLC served as financial advisor and Venable
LLP acted as legal advisor to Hyatt for the deal, which is
expected to close later this year.
