09:15 AM EDT, 04/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Hycroft Mining ( HYMC ) said Tuesday it has hired engineering and technology consultancy RESPEC to review underground mining options for its Brimstone and Vortex high-grade silver systems at its Hycroft Mine in Nevada.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

The company said the scope of work will include evaluating mining methods, conceptual mine design and schedule development, which will be followed up by an internal report.

"The appointment of RESPEC will help us assess the potential to develop a decline giving us direct access to our new high-grade silver deposits," President and Chief Executive Diane Garrett said in a statement.
