06:59 AM EDT, 09/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- i-80 Gold ( IAUX ) said Wednesday it appointed Richard Young to succeed Ewan Downie as chief executive officer, effective immediately.

Following his retirement as CEO, Downie would also step down as a director while continuing to serve as an advisor to the company.

Before the appointment, Young served as CEO of Argonaut Gold, which Alamos Gold acquired in July.
