i-80 Gold Names New CEO

06:36 AM EDT, 09/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- i-80 Gold ( IAUX ) on Wednesday said it appointed Richard Young as CEO and director, effective immediately.

Young succeeds Ewan Downie following his retirement as CEO and director. He will continue as an advisor to the company.

Young was the founder and CEO of Teranga Gold, which was ultimately acquired by Endeavour Mining in 2021 for more than $2.5 billion. Most recently, Young served as president and CEO of Argonaut Gold, which was acquired by Alamos Gold in July.

i-80 Gold's ( IAUX ) share price at last look gained 6.5% to US$1.14 in U.S. pre-market trading on Wednesday.
