06:49 AM EDT, 08/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- IBM ( IBM ) and AMD (AMD) said Tuesday they are partnering to develop quantum-centric supercomputing architectures based on the combination of quantum and high-performance computing.

The two tech companies said they are collaborating to develop scalable, open-source platforms using IBM's ( IBM ) advances in quantum computers and software, and AMD's high-performance computing and AI accelerators experience.

The companies said they are planning an initial demonstration later this year.
