IBM Announces Plan to Invest in Canadian Semiconductor Industry

10:41 AM EDT, 04/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- IBM ( IBM ) , the Government of Canada and the Government of Quebec announced Friday agreements seeking to bolster the Canadian semiconductor industry and further develop the assembly, testing and packaging capabilities for semiconductor modules at IBM Canada's plant in Bromont, Quebec.

The combined investment is valued at 187 million Canadian dollars ($136.8 million).
