08:40 AM EDT, 10/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- IBM ( IBM ) said Wednesday it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Cognitus, a provider of SAP's (SAP) enterprise resource planning software SAP S/4HANA services.

Financial details were not disclosed.

The acquisition, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, is seen to boost IBM's ( IBM ) SAP capabilities in aerospace and defense, energy and utilities, and manufacturing, IBM ( IBM ) said.
